Job Summary Inpatient Psychiatry Physician - Child & Adolescent (Onsite only)

Geisinger and Acadia Healthcare have formed a joint venture partnership to build and operate two behavioral health facilities, one in each of its Central and Northeast Pennsylvania regions. These facilities serve as acute care hubs of an enterprise system of behavioral health care.

Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast (Moosic, PA) – Opened:
August 2023

Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Central (Danville, PA) – Opened:
August 2025

• Acadia serves as joint venture facility administrator.
• Both facilities are contemporary, freestanding health care facilities designed and constructed using advanced approaches to quality and safety.
• Offer services to both adult and pediatric populations, including Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Brain Stimulation Therapy.
• Provide care for common psychiatric diagnoses such as Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma-Related Disorders, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Substance Use Disorders.
• Licensed initially for 96 inpatient beds with capacity to add 48 additional beds in the future.
• Approximately 72,000 square feet of facility space.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical record documentation.

Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. The physician is accountable for satisfying all job‑specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
