Overview
Thoracic Pathology Physician Opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA. The Division of Anatomic Pathology at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the appointment stream academic clinical track with expertise in Thoracic Pathology.
Responsibilities- Teach and sign out thoracic pathology cases.
- Engage in translational research using resources from the molecular genomic laboratory and the digital pathology laboratory.
- Collaborate within the Thoracic Pathology Center of Excellence (COE) alongside Pulmonary Pathology colleagues; participate in telepathology as part of a national consultation network.
- Contribute to clinical service, education, and scholarly activities; participate in a one-year ACGME-accredited Thoracic Fellowship program.
- Advise on development and strategy within thoracic pathology and related fields as part of an interdisciplinary academic clinical team.
- MD degree and board certification in Anatomic Pathology.
- Specialty training and academic interest in thoracic pathology.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Record of scholarly activities and publications.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Full-time faculty appointment at the University of Pittsburgh and participation in the UPMC/UPP faculty practice plan.
- Relocation assistance of $10,000.
