The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seekscandidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenureacademic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be Board Certified in Family Medicine. Fellowship training or a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) is not required. Applicant qualificationsinclude having a commitment to comprehensive Family Medicine acrossthe lifespan, enthusiasm for teaching residents and students, and commitment to equitable, patient-centered care.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervision of Family Medicine residents and medical students in the outpatient setting. Participation in residency and medical student education.

Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient Family Medicine,providing care to a diverse patient population of all ages. The practice offers a broad scope of services, including gender-affirming care, office-based procedures, addiction medicine services, pediatric care and sports medicine. Additional clinicalopportunities for interested candidates might include:
Dedicatedprenatal care sessions at an FQHC or within the Family Medicinepractice. Inpatient adult medicine on the Family Medicine teachingservice at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Teaching and supervision in ambulatory, maternity, and inpatient settings.
Clinical care at community partner sites such as West Philadelphia High School and FQHCs.
This full-time faculty position is based at the department's centercity practice on the campus of Pennsylvania Hospital. This practice provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages as wellas gynecologic and other procedural care, care for individuals withopiate use disorder and LGBTQ+ oriented primary care services. This position involves medical student teaching and could includeinpatient hospital medicine with our resident teaching service ifdesired by the candidate.
Scholarship: Candidates on the Academic Clinician track are not required toengage in research or scholarship; however, scholarly activity is encouraged and supported.
