• Specialized Expertise: As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will specialize in advanced life support, resuscitation, trauma care, fractures, soft tissue injuries, and the management of other critical situations.

• Responsibilities:

  • Treat patients requiring acute and life-saving care, adhering to state and national standards.
  • Conduct patient examinations and update medical histories as necessary.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, health regimens, and lifestyle adjustments for patient recovery and prevention.
  • Order and interpret necessary tests, reporting results to patients.
  • Comply with state licensure requirements, including continuing education.
  • Notify relevant agencies of injuries as required.
  • Provide acute care, referrals to specialists, and ensure accurate documentation of services.

• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics:

  • Adherence to AOA or AMA code of ethics.
  • Familiarity with general medical coding and related information.
  • Compliance with state and federal regulations and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of patient privacy (HIPAA) and OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite and data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient engagement.
  • Flexibility to accept additional duties as needed for facility requirements.

• Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree from an approved medical school (D.O. or M.D.) with an approved residency.
  • Current Pennsylvania medical license required.
  • Two to five years or more of practicing experience preferred.

• Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye.
