Chief Medical Officer | Behavioral Health | Pennsylvania

Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast (GBN) is seeking an innovative and mission-driven Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead clinical strategy, physician engagement, and quality initiatives across a growing behavioral health organization. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of psychiatric care within a nationally recognized, integrated health system committed to improving access, outcomes, and patient experience.

• Provide executive leadership for a 92-bed behavioral health hospital
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of 7 psychiatrists and advanced practice providers
• Drive clinical excellence, quality improvement, and physician engagement initiatives
• Help advance innovative care models across inpatient and outpatient services
• Support a growing Psychiatry Residency Program currently training 3 residents annually, with planned expansion to 5 residents per year
• Maintain a clinical practice while serving in a key executive leadership role

• MD or DO with completed Psychiatry residency
• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure and DEA
• Minimum 7 years of post-training clinical experience
• Prior physician leadership experience in an inpatient, acute care, or health system setting
• Passion for advancing behavioral health care through collaboration, innovation, and servant leadership
