Assistant Daycare Teacher

We are currently seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Assistant Teachers for the Toddler and Twos Programs at our Pennsylvania Keystone STARS 4‑rated school, which has earned National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA).

Our Toddler and Twos Programs focus on early language development, basic counting skills, and nurturing social‑emotional growth through play and guided interactions. Whether you are starting your career in education or continuing your journey, we provide a supportive and engaging atmosphere where you can thrive.

• Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans based on Goddard’s play‑based curriculum
• Foster a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore
• Support children in developing emerging self‑help skills, such as handwashing, potty training, and feeding
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure the success of each child’s learning experience
• Assist with classroom activities, group games, and story time
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment
• Supervise outdoor play and ensure child safety at all times
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Model respectful and professional behavior at all times

Educational Requirements:

• High school graduate (at least 18 years of age)
• Meet the requirements set forth by the state licensing agencies, which include, but are not limited to:
• 2 years experience working with children
• or 1 year experience working with children and 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field
• or CDA
• or degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field

Preferred but not required:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• CDA credential
• Previous experience in a licensed child care center or preschool
• Experience working with toddlers or two‑year‑olds

All candidates must be able to pass required background checks and health clearances.
