Position: Summer Instructional Assistants- ESY 2026
Location: Downingtown

We are currently seeking Summer Instructional Assistants for ESY 2026.

Effective for the 2026 summer program, vacancies for several Classrooom Instructional Assistant positions exist within the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These positions are for school age programs throughout the county. Positions are temporary for the duration of the summer program only.

Schedule:

(May vary slightly depending on program)

* 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (6 hours a day)

* Monday - Thursday

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma required

* Experience working with Special Education Students preferred.

* Current police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To provide instructional support to teachers and students in an extended school year program.

Hourly rate  School Year):

The IA pay scale is broken down below for you to reference.

* 0 - 9 yrs experience = $18.72

* 10 - 13 yrs experience = $20.57

* 14 - 17 yrs experience = $22.41

* 18 - 25 yrs experience = $24.26

* * Bachelor's degree is equivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale = $18.72

* * Master's degree is equivalent to 15 yrs experience on the scale = $22.41
