Summary

Lehigh-Carbon Community College is seeking dedicated and passionate instructors for the Mathematics part-time/adjunct pool. This is a face-to-face instructional role primarily at our Schnecksville, PA site but may have openings at our satellite sites. Instructional opportunities include weekday, daytime, and evening lecture courses.

Current Needs

Face-to-face, day-time, weekday lecture courses.

Responsibilities

* Deliver mathematics instruction at the undergraduate level in a lecture setting.

* Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with course learning objectives.

* Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams.

* Provide timely entry of grades and constructive feedback to students.

* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades in the college provided learning management system.

* Hold regular office hours and attend adjunct convocation.

* Collaborate with department staff and faculty to enhance course content and teaching methods.

Qualifications

* Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or equivalent experience with at least 18.0 graduate level credits in mathematics required.

* Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.

* Proficiency in educational technology and familiarity with learning management systems is preferred.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

All employees are required to obtain the three mandatory background clearances at their expense prior to their first day of work:

* PA Criminal Background

* PA Child Abuse History,

* FBI Cogent Clearance Fingerprinting (Department of Education).
