Position Summary:

Villanova University invites applications for an adjunct teaching position in the Department of Global Interdisciplinary Studies' annual undergraduate Scholar-and-Field-Expert Lecture Series. This year's theme is Sustainable Dining. The applicant must be committed to excellence in the teaching of sustainability and the culinary arts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching and related duties will vary with the specific course(s) being taught.

Minimum Qualifications:

Advanced degree in a closely related discipline to the theme is required and/or experience suitable for course instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional in the culinary arts.

The Global Interdisciplinary Studies Department will accept applications for the two-week visiting instructorship in our Scholar-and-Field-Expert Lecture Series. The appointed lecturer will teach a one-credit course which is offered only in the spring semester and given the opportunity to deliver a public lecture as well. Recruitment is principally by invitation.

Salary Posting Information:

This adjunct position falls within the salary range of $1,160.00 - $2,230.00 per credit/contact hour. The final compensation will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's educational qualifications, course type (drill, lab, lecture), course level (undergraduate or graduate), and market benchmarks.
