School Lane Charter School is currently accepting applications for a passionate and dedicated Middle/High School Spanish Teacher to join our dynamic learning community.

?? About the Role

The Spanish Teacher plays a vital role in helping students develop linguistic proficiency, cultural awareness, and a lifelong love of learning. This position involves teaching middle and high school students while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented school culture.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and deliver engaging Spanish curriculum aligned with the school's mission and vision

* Establish clear learning objectives for lessons, units, and projects-and communicate them effectively to students

* Create a welcoming, student-centered classroom that promotes inquiry, discussion, and active engagement

* Implement effective classroom management strategies that ensure a safe and productive learning environment

* Use a variety of authentic assessments to evaluate and report on student learning and growth

* Maintain accurate, up-to-date grade books and provide meaningful progress reports

* Keep complete and compliant student records in accordance with legal and district requirements

* Participate in school events such as Back-to-School Night, parent-teacher conferences, and exhibitions

* Plan and coordinate unit exhibitions and collaborative learning experiences

Position Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

* Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification in Spanish (K-12)

* Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP or DP programs is a plus

* Strong commitment to inclusive and student-centered learning

* Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment

* Excellent planning, organization, and research skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Proven ability to build positive relationships with students and support their development

* Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
