Assistant Professor of History

The Department of History at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in African American History in the Long Nineteenth Century ) to begin August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will have areas of research and a teaching focus in African American social, political, intellectual, and/or cultural history, with a robust research agenda and the ability to offer courses that enhance the department’s existing curriculum.

Candidates must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in History or affiliated interdisciplinary fields (e.g., African American Studies or American Studies) by the start date.
