Special Education Teacher – Autism & Emotional Support Classroom
Our client is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support elementary and middle school students through the end of the school year. Opportunities are available for both long-term contractors and substitute teachers. This role focuses on supporting students in autism support and emotional support classrooms, helping them achieve academic, social, and behavioral success. The opportunity is based in Whitehall, PA.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification (required).
- Experience working with students with autism and/or emotional and behavioral needs preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Provide instruction in autism and emotional support classrooms for elementary and middle school students.
- Teach or co‑teach students with diverse learning, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Serve as an IEP case manager, including developing, implementing, and monitoring student plans.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, administrators, and parents.
- Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
