Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive band curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes musical growth.
- Conduct regular rehearsals and prepare students for performances, competitions, and community events.
- Collaborate with other music educators to enhance the overall music program at Nottingham School.
- Organize and manage band events, including concerts, festivals, and workshops.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Maintain instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and program activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Stay current with music education trends and best practices, integrating new ideas into the program.

Requirements
- Proven experience in conducting and teaching band at the middle or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of various musical styles and proficiency in multiple instruments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
