Position: ESY Secondary Substitute Paraprofessional- Multiple Openings
Location: Colonial Park

Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team for the Extended School Year program as Secondary Substitute Paraprofessionals. Extended School Year (ESY) Secondary Substitute Paraprofessionals support students during the summer ESY program by assisting teachers with instructional activities and providing individualized support to students based on their educational and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support students individually or in small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher
  • Assist with implementing instructional activities and IEP goals
  • Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Assist with classroom organization and preparation of materials
  • Support students with personal care needs as required
  • Follow district policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and program staff

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
  • Must pass background checks and any required certifications.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.

  • 7:45 AM - 12:15 PM
