Full-time Veterinary Nursing Faculty

Harcum College has an opening for a full-time CVT/faculty member.

Qualifications/

Skills:

• B.S. or M.S. degree required
• Current Pennsylvania veterinary technology license (CVT)
• Previous teaching experience in a veterinary nursing/technology program required. Teaching experience in clinical practice will also be considered.
• Must be available 12 months/year

Responsibilities:

• Teaching responsibility of 15 credits per semester which may include both lecture and laboratory classes.
• Active participation in curriculum development and individual course modification for improvement as needed
• Effectively plan, organize and execute the instruction of students.
• Assess student needs and progress in both theory and/or clinical skills.
• Provide students with lab experiences that enhance theoretical classroom concepts.
• Participate in Admissions events as needed.
• Take an active role as an advisor for the SCNAVTA group.
• Other duties as assigned.

Scholarship

• Maintain current knowledge of subject areas taught.
• Demonstrate continued professional development and maintain active CVT license.

Service

• Actively participate in College-wide committees
• Foster effective public relations
• Actively participate in professional associations
• Assist with preparation of materials required for accreditation
• Actively participate in Department Committees (ie. IACUC, etc.) as assigned by Director
