ADST Academic Coach and BUSA Tutor

DeSales University, located in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, Catholic four‑year liberal arts institution. The Academic Success Center offers support for students in the Adult Studies day courses and online/evening program, as well as business courses (AB, MG, MK).

The Academic Success Center ADST Academic Coach and BUSA Tutor provides individual tutorial sessions and small group instruction to adult‑study day, evening, and online students.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students with study‑skills development across the curriculum and in specific courses.
• Addressing learning needs such as exam preparation, test‑taking skills, and time management.
• Providing support for non‑native and multilingual students who read and study academic texts in English.
• Delivering coaching to students enrolled in business courses (AB, MG, MK) as required by the Undergraduate Course Catalog.
• Offering evening, weekend, and Summer/Winter session hours as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree in Education, Business, or related field preferred.
• ESL background a plus.
• Minimum of one year of professional experience in academic support services at the secondary or college level.
• Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution.
