Girard SD In Person Tutor

Job Information

Hey Tutor has partnered with a school district in Girard and we are looking to hire 3 English and 3 Math tutors to assist Middle School students during and after school hours. Tutors will work with students of grades 5-8 and actively supervise them while helping them catch up on learning gaps from the past school year. Candidates must be able to pass an in‑person background check and be passionate about education and eager to provide consistent tutoring hours to students in the community.

$22–$26 per hour (determined at interview based on education and experience).

• Work with groups of students without teacher or school staff support
• Prepare the area to start the tutoring session
• Pick up and drop off students from designated areas in the school site, if needed
• Take attendance and run lessons through the Hey Tutor Dashboard when applicable
• Document student progress with the Hey Tutor Dashboard
• Facilitate baseline and summative assessments when requested by management
• Lead the tutoring session using curriculum and materials provided by the program
• Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging
• Support students in making positive behavior choices
• Engage and interact with lessons alongside students
• Clock in and out of Deputy for each shift
• Perform any other duties required by the company, manager, or school site

Monday to Friday, 7 am–3:30 pm (40 hours per week). The program begins Tuesday, September 2 2025.

• Completed Associate’s degree or higher
• Prior tutoring experience, preferably with middle‑school math and ELA
• Comfortable tutoring in a classroom setting
• Clear FBI‑DOJ background check (provided through us)
