QUALIFICATIONS:

Earned Masters degree in related field.

Minimum five years teaching experience.

Demonstrated history of excellence in teaching in content area

REPORTS TO:

DIRECTOR OF CURRICULUM

JOB GOAL:
To assist and support teachers and administrators to increase student growth and achievement.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports teacher implementation of exemplary and research-based instructional practices to increase student learning and achievement through collaboration, inquiry and consultative feedback and the coaching model/coaching cycle, prioritizing new teachers

Interprets diagnostic and assessment data with classroom teachers, providing classroom teachers with research-based strategies to support small group, differentiated instruction.

Develop and/or facilitate professional learning to ensure teacher knowledge of academic standards, content, and curriculum as well as professional learning that supports district and building goals.

Serves as a consultant to curriculum review and writing based on the analysis of assessment data.

Evaluates students, identifying those who need additional instruction and assisting the teachers in planning instruction according to diagnostic results

Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Curriculum.
