Overview

Perlman Camp is a 6‑week program at Lake Como, Pennsylvania, running from June 21 to August 3, 2026. The camp includes the International Leadership Training Conference (ILTC) and International Kallah and serves approximately 200 teens from the BBYO movement.

$6,200‑$7,000, based on experience and education. Educators receive an additional $250 for completing pre‑work and attending required meetings.

• Prepare and teach daily Jewish enrichment sessions covering prayer, values, holidays, and rituals.
• Guide teens in leading and participating in daily prayer experiences in creative and novel ways.
• Serve as a resource for teens preparing for Shabbat services, rituals, programs, and activities.
• Represent and teach BBYO culture, Jewish values, leadership, and identity.
• Inspire teens to embrace their Jewish journey and promote BBYO’s pluralistic commitment.
• Assist with evening programs and collaborate with song leaders to create an inspiring Shabbat atmosphere.
• Work with leadership staff, counselors, and the educational framework to integrate programming.
• Ensure participants are on time for meals, classes, events; facilitate activities; monitor health and wellbeing.
• Maintain COVID camp guidelines and support overall staff teamwork.
• Support the Lead Jewish Educator in creating and executing enrichment sessions, rituals, and Shabbat for ILTC and Kallah.

• Strong Judaic knowledge and background.
• Experience teaching Jewish content to teens.
• Proficiency in Jewish prayer, values, holidays, and rituals.
• Capable teacher, motivator, and positive role model for teens.

Educators will receive $250 for completing pre‑work and attending required meetings.

This is an independent contractor role; educators are not agents, partners, or employees of BBYO.
