Hey Tutor has partnered with the Girard school district to hire 3 English and 3 Math tutors to assist middle school students during and after school hours. Tutors will work with students aged 5‑8th grade, actively supervising and helping them bridge learning gaps from the past school year. Candidates must be comfortable passing an in-person background check and be passionate about education and community service.

PAY: $22‑$26 per hour, depending on education and experience and determined at interview.

• Work with groups of students without teacher or school staff support.
• Prepare area to start tutoring session.
• May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in the school site.
• Take attendance and run lessons through Hey Tutor Dashboard (if applicable).
• Document student progress with Hey Tutor Dashboard.
• When requested by manager, facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments.
• Lead a group of students in the tutoring session, using curriculum and materials provided by the program.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices.
• Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students.
• Daily clock in and out of Deputy for shifts.
• Perform any other duties required by the company, manager, and/or school site.

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (40 hours per week).

• Must have completed an associate degree (AA) or higher.
• Tutoring experience, especially with kids.
• Comfortable tutoring Middle‑School Math and ELA.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI‑DOJ background check (provided through the company).
