Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction, fostering critical thinking, and supporting student learning and development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to enhance student success
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance instruction
- Participate in professional development and district initiatives
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education Certification Required
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Must obtain necessary clearances, including PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background, and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
- Passion for teaching and student engagement
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Strong classroom management and student support skills
- Effective collaboration and teamwork abilities
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
