Girard SD; Math In Person Tutor

Job Information

Hey Tutor has partnered with a school district in Girard and we are hiring 3 Math tutors to assist Middle School students during and after school hours. Tutors will work with students from grades 5‑8, supervising and helping them catch up on learning gaps developed during the previous school year. Applicants must be comfortable passing an in‑person background check.

Hourly pay ranges from $22–$26, depending on education and experience, to be determined at interview.

• Work with groups of students without teacher or school staff support.
• Prepare area to start tutoring session.
• Possibly pick up and drop off students from designated areas at the school site.
• Take attendance and run lessons through Hey Tutor Dashboard (if applicable).
• Document student progress with Hey Tutor Dashboard.
• Facilitate baseline and summative assessments when requested by manager.
• Lead a group of students during tutoring sessions using curriculum and materials provided by the program.
• Create an engaging environment fostering belonging.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices.
• Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside students.
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts.
• Perform any other duties as required by the company, manager, or school site.

Monday – Friday: 7 am to 3:30 pm (40 hours per week).

• Associate degree or higher.
• Experience tutoring, preferably with Middle School Math.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI‑DOJ background check (provided through the company).
