Position SummaryThe Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University welcomes applications for a nine‑month visiting teaching position spanning Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 at the rank of either Assistant Teaching Professor (for those with a Ph.D.) or Instructor. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The primary duties are foundational courses in mathematics and/or statistics. Teaching upper‑level courses is also possible.
The department currently has 45 full‑time faculty members and is known for its collegiality. Faculty are engaged and supportive, fostering academic excellence, and striving to create a caring community in which students of all backgrounds can learn and succeed.
Villanova University is located 12 miles west of Philadelphia, offering easy access to the International Airport and nearby cities. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teach 12 credit hours (three or four courses) per semester in person.
- Participate in the life of the department.
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong teaching ability.
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Exceptional teaching ability.
