Step into a vital role in supporting student growth as a Special Education Teacher in a middle school emotional support classroom. This contract position offers you the opportunity to make a significant difference, working closely with students in grades 7 and 8 who benefit from individualized guidance and support. With a manageable caseload of 13 students to start (potentially increasing up to 20), you'll partner with a dedicated educational team to create a compassionate, structured, and dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities include delivering tailored instruction, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with colleagues and families to champion student success. Qualifications &

Preferred Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience working with grades 6-8 preferred; certified teachers with K-12 experience encouraged to apply
• Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs
• Familiar with evidence-based interventions for students with emotional and behavioral challenges
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt and respond to changes in caseload and student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions
• Monitor students' progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Collaborate with team members, families, and service providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Support a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Details:

• Contract through June 5, 2026
• Schedule:
  
  7:30am-3:10pm, Monday-Friday
• Serve a middle school emotional support classroom (grades 7/8)
• Manage a supportive caseload, preparing for possible growth
