If you’re a local resident aged 16–17 and curious about joining our Snow sports team, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Junior Snow sports Instructor you will complete your APSI level 1 certification(s) in the early season and become an active support in our children’s programs alongside experienced instructor mentors. You’ll create memorable experiences through teaching, a supportive attitude, and your love for the mountain.

This role is perfect for building a future in Snow sports – combining your passion for the mountains with professional growth, mentorship, and an active, fun workplace.

You’ll have access to exceptional instructor development opportunities – including on‑snow clinics, APSI instructor pathway support, and ongoing training with industry‑leading trainers, helping you progress your own teaching and riding throughout the season.

Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must be 15–17 years old as at 1 June 2026, live locally under parental supervision during their employment, reside within the Falls Creek Resort or Alpine Shire area, and preferably be attending a local school.

To be eligible for our Junior employment opportunities you must be aged at the time of employment:
Junior Snow sports Instructor – between 16‑17, Junior Day Attendant – between 15‑17.

What You’ll Bring
  • Strong skiing and/or snowboarding ability – skilled and confident on intermediate to advanced terrain in varied conditions
  • Experience working or volunteering with children, young people, or in sports and recreation (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills, with fluency in spoken and written English
  • A passionate, adaptable team player who brings energy, professionalism, and positivity to a fast‑paced mountain environment
  • Confident ability to communicate with others, and a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest experiences
  • A genuine passion for learning, teaching, and creating memorable guest experiences on snow

Availability

As a Junior Instructor, you will be employed with limited availability – designed so you can balance other commitments. Applicants must arrange their own accommodation and be available for at least the minimum periods outlined below, or as otherwise agreed with the Snow sports School Senior Manager:

Availability Requirements – Falls Creek

Minimum:
Twelve (12) days during the VIC July School Holidays (27 June‑12 July 2026) and any four (4) weekends proceeding the school holiday period, during July and August.
