Adjunct Faculty - Ethics

The Ethics Program will accept applications through April 2022. All applicants must apply online and complete a faculty profile. Online applications must include: a current and complete resume/curriculum vitae, a cover letter or letter of interest addressing the candidate's competency to teach ETH 2050 and including the names and contact information of three references, and a statement of teaching philosophy. If the applicant wishes to submit any other supporting documents, they may submit them online in conjunction with the application.

Villanova University invites applications for adjunct teaching positions in the Ethics Program for undergraduate courses only. The applicant must be committed to excellence in the teaching of a core curriculum course, ETH
2050. This interdisciplinary course is the last of five foundational core courses that most Villanova undergraduates take. The Good Life:
Ethics and Contemporary Moral Problems provides the students an opportunity to explore the rich philosophical and theological resources available for the ongoing exploration of what constitutes a good life. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Duties and responsibilities include teaching 1-3 sections of ETH
2050 and holding regular weekly office hours.

Minimum qualifications include an advanced degree in philosophy or theology, AOS Ethics. Preferred qualifications include previous teaching experience and a Ph.D. in hand preferred.

Salary for this adjunct position falls within the range of $1,160.00 – $2,230.00 per credit/contact hour. The final compensation will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's educational qualifications, course type, course level, and market benchmarks.
