Instructional Assistant Position

Instructional Assistant position available at Spring-Ford Area School District's Royersford Elementary School. Are you looking to make a difference in the life of a child? Come join our team of dedicated educators and help support their instruction by assisting students with remedial work, independent studies, specialized areas of need and/or enrichment programs. Full time 10-month position available at Spring-Ford's Royersford Elementary School.

Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required. Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements:
All individuals entering the paraprofessional field are required to be Highly Qualified. Individuals are required to hold an Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits post-secondary training or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics. Spring-Ford Area School District offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and prescription insurance, as well as paid time off and a tuition reimbursement program.

Pathways to becoming a special education teacher are available through a partnership with Point Park University for the ABCTE program. This position is part of the PSERS retirement system. Hourly rate: $20.50/hour.

Hours:

8:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Days/year: 185. Growth opportunities are available including Registered Behavior Technician training, ABCTE Teacher Certification Program, and mentorship opportunities. Available:
August 18, 2026. The successful candidate will be required to submit valid Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances (dated less than 1 year from the start of employment) and a Health Record/TB Test form (dated less than 90 days from the start of employment).
