Part-Time Instructional Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Nottingham School as a Part-Time Instructional Aide. This position plays a vital role in supporting classroom teachers and enhancing the educational experience for students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, possess strong communication skills, and have a desire to work collaboratively in a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing lessons and helping with assignments.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
• Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment.
• Support students with special needs and adapt learning materials as required.
• Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required certifications.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate part-time hours, including potential after-school activities.
