Long-Term Substitute Elementary Special Education Learning Support Teacher

The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Elementary Special Education Learning Support Teacher at Schwenksville Elementary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to supporting students through individualized, data-driven instruction while fostering an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment. This position is available for the first semester of the  school year.

Qualifications:

This position requires Pennsylvania certification in Special Education K-8 or PK-12.

Recommended Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices for diverse learners, with the ability to design differentiated, standards-aligned instruction.

Strong understanding of special education laws and procedures, including IEP development and implementation, and progress monitoring to support student achievement.

Experience providing specially designed instruction (SDI), accommodations, and modifications to ensure student access to grade-level curriculum.

Ability to use student data to inform instructional decisions, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and adjust instruction to meet individual student needs.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success within an inclusive, team-based model.

Compensation:

The salary will be equivalent to the first step of the School District's salary schedule for teachers without benefits.
