Position Responsibilities- Manages the collection, analysis, and reporting of complex data to institutional stakeholders and external entities (e.g., federal, state, accreditation, US News).
- Designs, builds, and maintains reports to support institutional compliance and ad‑hoc needs.
- Collaborates with the Director to proactively assess and address department needs for data and information.
- Leads cross‑training efforts and creates user documentation (e.g., manuals), training materials, and standard operating procedures to build institutional reporting capacity.
- Works with IT and other stakeholders to contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and security.
- Administers the university’s survey software, provides technical support to end users, and assists in managing institutional surveys.
- Serves as a key liaison to academic and administrative departments, providing data consultation and training.
- Engages in professional development activities and serves on university committees as appropriate.

- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in institutional research and/or data analysis.
- Professional experience with Workday (or another student information system), data management, and analysis.
- Documented experience with statistical packages (e.g., SPSS, R, SAS), SQL, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, meet deadlines in a fast‑paced office environment, and maintain attention to detail while ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Experience writing queries and reports in a college or university institutional research office.
- Experience with IPEDS and advanced statistics.
- Experience building reports and interactive charts/graphs using analytical and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
Standard employees are required to complete a background clearance process. Employment is contingent upon successful results of an employment background screening, which may include verification of education and credentials, criminal history, driving history, residency, immigration status, and references. Positions with direct contact with children require a youth clearance, including an affidavit, FBI criminal record check, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services child abuse history clearance, and Pennsylvania State Police criminal record check.
