Position

Description

The successful candidate will teach core social work courses (Practice, HBSE, Research, Policy) with the opportunity to develop new curriculum in their area of expertise. While this role will primarily serve our fully online MSW program, this is not a remote position. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the St. Davids, PA campus to accommodate potential teaching assignments within the residential BSW program.

Position Responsibilities

Teach courses.

Advise students.

Help develop the academic, social, and spiritual dimensions of the students.

Interview students for admission to the program.

Supervise students, as needed.

Assist with information sessions, orientations, and other student recruitment and retention activities.

Maintain compliance with CSWE accreditation standards.

Uphold the vision of the Social Work Department.

Pursue a scholarly agenda of inquiry, presentation, and publication.

Qualifications

MSW from a CSWE accredited program and a PhD in Social Work or DSW preferred.

Minimum of two years post‑MSW practice experience.

Record of teaching in a social work program particularly within online education.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Commitment to collaboration and shared decision-making.
