Adjunct Faculty - French and Francophone Studies
The French and Francophone Studies Program will accept applications throughout the year. When a teaching vacancy arises, we will consider the submitted applications in an effort to staff the course. All applicants must apply online and complete a faculty profile. Online applications must include: 1. A current and complete resume/curriculum vitae. 2. A cover letter or letter of interest. The letter should include the following three pieces of information: a) the type of courses the applicant is interested in teaching;
b) the time period during which the applicant expects to be available; c) the names and the contact information of three references. If the applicant wishes to submit any other supporting documents, they may submit them online in conjunction with the application.
Villanova University invites applications for adjunct teaching positions in French for undergraduate courses only. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester. The applicant must have an M.A. and be committed to excellence in the teaching of French at all levels. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. A master's degree in French, native or near native knowledge of French and English required.
This adjunct position falls within the salary range of $1,160.00 – $2,230.00 per credit/contact hour. The final compensation will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's educational qualifications, course type (drill, lab, lecture), course level (undergraduate or graduate), and market benchmarks.
