Substitute Teacher Positions
The Palmerton Area School District is seeking substitute teachers for the school year. Daily substitute teaching rates are as follows: daily on-demand work, non-consecutive dates: 1-19 days $135/day, 20-44 days $140/day, 45-89 days $150/day. Short-term substitute teaching rates are board-approved for consecutive assignments in the same position: 1-49 days $155/day, 50-89 days $160/day. Long-term substitute teaching rates are for 90+ days, consecutive, same school year and assignment: rate will be prorated based on bachelors, step 1 or masters, step 1 plus benefits package based on education level of the candidate.
Applications are currently being accepted for all grades and subject areas, including special education. Interested candidates must submit a signed cover letter, resume, PA standard application, copy of PA certification, transcripts, and current clearances.
