Position SummaryVillanova University's Mechanical Engineering Department seeks applications for a full-time non‑tenure track visiting faculty position. This appointment covers the fall and spring semesters of the academic year. The primary responsibilities include teaching 12 contact hours per semester, with typically two to three sessions of preparation. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering.
The department is a national leader in mechanical engineering education, grounded in Augustinian Catholic values and a commitment to service. It currently has 18 full‑time tenure‑track faculty members, 5 full‑time teaching faculty, approximately 300 undergraduate students, and more than 100 graduate students. The department offers B.S. and M.S. (Mechanical Engineering) degrees, with a Ph.D. program available through the College of Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses and labs.
- A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely aligned discipline is required (must be completed at the time of hire).
