We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher who is committed to helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Experience supporting students on the autism spectrum is a plus; however, we also encourage applicants who may not have this background but demonstrate a strong willingness to develop these skills.

• Develop and implement IEPs, including goals, services, and specially designed instruction
• Prepare Re‑evaluation Reports and maintain compliance with required timelines
• Provide direct instruction in small groups and co‑teaching settings
• Modify curriculum and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform instruction
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, social, and emotional growth
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, psychologists, therapists, and administrators
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and supports
• Partner with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation for transition‑age students
• Implement positive behavior supports and teach socially appropriate behaviors
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid PA Instructional I Certificate in Special Education
• Knowledge of instructional technology to support individualized learning
• Understanding of diverse student needs, including ADD, emotional, and behavioral supports
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to inclusive, student‑centered practices
• Ability to meet all required background checks and clearances

• Ability to perform standard classroom duties (standing, walking, bending, reaching, sitting)
• Ability to support students with diverse physical and emotional needs

• Starting Salary: $59,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
