POSITION GOAL:
Provide an organized activity so as to provide participants with personal growth and opportunity for achievement.
The Vocal Director is responsible for developing and directing all vocal aspects of the Spring high school musical production. Working collaboratively with the Director, Choreographer, Pit Orchestra Director, and Production Staff, the Vocal Director prepares students to perform at a high level while fostering a positive, inclusive, and educational environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Selection and purchase of script and music
- Securing rights to material used
- Work with middle school staff to arrange for all equipment and room use
- Audition and selection of cast members
- Work with choral director, choreographer, and staging crew as needed for the production and coordinate activities and purchases with faculty advisor
- Coordination of advertising and program development and other duties which may be necessary for a successful production
- Ability to work with all types of students in an inclusive environment and coordinate with both staff, parent and community volunteers.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
- Pleasant, cooperative and positive work attitude.
- Good communication skills to interact with other staff, parents, and community volunteers.
- Have the ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
- Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.
- Per REA Agreement for the school year- 5 units;
Stipend is received after the performance of the musical. - Annual assignment appointed by the Board of School Directors as recommended by Administration.
