Part Time - Music Voice - Vocal Instructor

Job Description and Position Requirements

The Division of Arts and Humanities at Penn State Abington is seeking a part‑time instructor to teach individual vocal lessons beginning August 2026
. This is a one‑semester, non‑tenure track appointment with the possibility of reappointment. Candidates with a student‑centered, innovative, and engaging approach to teaching are encouraged to apply.

• Teach up to two sections of VOICE 100, Voice Secondary per semester.
• VOICE 100: individual instruction in voice. Sessions are one‑half hour per week.
• Work with students to develop individual, weekly lesson schedules agreeable to both the student and the instructor.
• Prepare students for campus recital each semester.
• Depending on expertise, additional opportunities for teaching instrumental lessons may be available.

• Master's degree in a relevant field strongly preferred; equivalent professional experience or training will be considered.
• Experience teaching at the college level is highly desirable.
