Are you passionate about hands-on learning and helping students succeed? Dauphin County Technical School is seeking a dependable, adaptable, and student-centered Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Assistant to join our team.

In this role, you’ll work alongside instructors in dynamic, hands-on classrooms—supporting students as they develop real-world technical skills. You will play a critical role in fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment while helping students build the foundation for future careers.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students both academically and professionally as they prepare to become the next generation of skilled professionals.

• Support students in classroom, lab, and/or shop settings under teacher direction
• Provide one-on-one or small group academic and skill-based assistance
• Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and student supervision
• Support students with IEPs, 504s, or other special education needs
• Promote workplace readiness skills, safety, and professional conduct
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and specialists to meet individual student needs
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• Previous experience in a school, vocational, or technical training setting preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• A patient, flexible approach to supporting diverse learners
• Familiarity with CTE fields—or a willingness to learn technical content
