We are seeking a Behavior Analyst to work within the Office of Student Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit
. The role involves developing behavior management programs for students with the help of classroom staff and program supervisors, addressing needs of students from various backgrounds including those who have experienced school failure, identified for special education, and those with severe behavioral and emotional challenges.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, courteous, cooperative, congenial, and self-oriented.
• Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, and read, write, and perform simple computation.
• Proficiency with office equipment and computer technology, including typing and formatting business correspondence/reports.
• Valid PA driver's license; travel to classrooms/programs throughout Montgomery County is required.
• Original certificates of clearance from State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.

• Provide consultation to teachers and program supervisors in observing students with behavior problems and collecting baseline data.
• Select and develop appropriate data collection techniques for teachers and program supervisors.
• Develop written descriptions of behavior programs for specific students.
• Assist teachers in developing behavior management programs for specific students and the classroom milieu.
• Assist teachers in revising IEPs as needed to implement behavior modification programs.
• Attend IEP meetings with parents, teachers, and program supervisors to discuss behavior modification programs.
• Instruct staff in passive restraint techniques and assist teachers in their application when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator(s).

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provides services to K‑12 classrooms throughout Montgomery County.

Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day, 10 months (194 days per year).

Bachelor's, Step 1: $53,997 per year
Master's, Step 1: $65,007 per year

* Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
