Summary:

The College of Engineering is seeking motivated undergraduate students, sophmore level and above, to serve as teaching assistants for the Engineering Design Cornerstone course (EGR 1200) in the Fall semester. Students who desire to gain teaching experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Attend all class sessions of your assigned section, assisting faculty instructor as needed.

* Provide guidance to students in class

* Coordinate with other course TAs to offer joint office hours (at least two hours per week)

Additional Information:

Minimum qualifications:

* Undergraduate level with junior or senior standing (student must have successfully completed EGR
1200 with a grade of A- or better)

* Detail-oriented with the ability to follow multi-step instructions.

* Must be able to work well independently.

* Basic office skills and computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

* Ability to navigate Brightspace learning management system to access assignments and enter grades.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.

Physical Demands

Summary:

Able to lift up to 25 pounds

Wage Rate: $13.00/hour
