Part‑time Youth Program Instructor (Grades K‑12)
Job DescriptionPenn State Abington is seeking part‑time instructors for its Youth Program, to teach STEM programming, arts, writing, leadership, soft skills, wellness, and other topics from June 2027 through August 2027.
Responsibilities- Assist with creation and implementation of program curriculum and lessons.
- Manage supplies and supervise minors participating in programs.
- Collaborate with the Youth Program Director, student counselors, and Continuing Education staff to create an inviting, enjoyable, and educational environment for students.
- Attend team meetings as scheduled by the Youth Program Director.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Outgoing, works well with children, has strong customer service skills, and is a self‑starter.
- Advanced degree in an appropriate discipline (accredited institution) is required for most openings.
- Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
Summer instructors are needed for daytime in‑person programming from Monday through Thursday, June
28through August
122027, 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Instructors must attend a one‑day, in‑person staff orientation at Penn State Abington between June
21 and June
25, prior to the start of the camp sessions. Employment is contingent upon adequate student enrollment in the Youth Programs.

- National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR)
- Additional clearances may be required if you resided outside of Pennsylvania in the past five years.
