Job Description
The Division of Arts and Humanities at Penn State Abington is seeking a part‑time instructor to teach individual vocal lessons beginning August
2026. This is a one‑semester, non‑tenure track appointment with the possibility of reappointment. Candidates with a student‑centered, innovative, and engaging approach to teaching are encouraged to apply.
- Teach up to two sections of VOICE
100 (individual instruction in voice). Sessions are one‑half hour per week. - Work with students to develop individual, weekly lesson schedules agreeable to both the student and the instructor.
- Prepare students for the campus recital each semester.
- Depending on expertise, additional opportunities for teaching instrumental lessons may be available.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field strongly preferred; equivalent professional experience or training will be considered.
- Experience teaching at the college level is highly desirable.
