SUMMARY:

• The 2026 - 2027 school year Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Capital Area Intermediate Unit is $24.00/hour
• 5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date)
• The Special Education Paraprofessional will work on student days following the academic calendar year

CURRENT OPENING:

• Future Ready Work Immersion Program - A specialized transition program designed to help young adults with disabilities secure competitive or supported employment. By combining classroom curriculum with hands-on internships, the program develops essential skills in employment, independent living, and community inclusion.
• Schedule: 7:40am - 3:10pm (on full school day), paid through lunch break!
• Schedule may vary approximately 15-30 minutes based on assigned students arrival and dismissal plan
• Location: Throughout Cumberland County based on student(s) needs

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical assistance to an individual student or a small group of students - including, but not limited to: on-task prompting, facilitating social skills, and self-care skills
• Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress
• Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal
