Special Education Aide

Location: Building based on need

Schedule: Part-Time (5.75 hours/day on Student Days, 189 days/year)

Salary: $17.50 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Support classroom instruction and daily routines under the direction of the teacher.
  • Provide either one-on-one support with a student or support all students in a classroom setting.
  • Provide positive behavioral support and help maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Assist students in reading, learning activities, and skill development.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff.
  • Keep materials and routines organized to help the classroom run smoothly.
  • Use basic computer skills to support instructional needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Fewer than 48 college credits? We’ll help you earn Highly Qualified status within 60 days.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, patient, and encouraging approach when working with students.
  • A desire to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and students.
