QTS Maths & English Tutor — Cramlington, GBP
30 per hour. We are working with Northumberland Council to provide 1-to-1 tuition to a young person who has been permanently excluded. The pupil is in Year 10 and has SEMH conditions, alongside ADHD and potential ASD. Tuition is 6 hours per week, split into three 2-hour sessions.

This is the perfect opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to leave the classroom. We can match you with additional students for more hours and build up your timetable. Driving is preferred but not required.

You must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons as a means of alternative education. One of your aims will be to support and re-engage a pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine, continue their educational development and aid their return to school. QTS is essential for this role.

• Ongoing placement, or until the pupil returns to school

• Full-time or part-time hours available

• Experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis
• QTS
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils

• Hold a right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to complete a new application
• Provide references to cover the last two years of employment
• The ability to commit to the young person for the duration of the placement
