Our upper elementary teacher will:

• believe in 100% student success.

• convey their passion for students' growth academically and socially and emotionally.
• obtain New Jersey (or another state's) certification in special education.
• Passionate about supporting special education students
• be ready to collaborate with our science teachers to develop lessons that are engaging and allow every student to excel.

The skills our science special education push-in teacher needs are

• to deliver engaging lessons for all learners
• using data to drive decisions
• builds strong relationships with students and families
• collaborates and is ready to be part of grade-level teams to create learning experiences and support students in our middle school's social and emotional growth
• Understands grades 6-8 science.
• Is ready to support students through developing lessons and materials to support their learning.

Application Process

We're hiring with urgency but not in a rush. Our process includes:

• A resume review
• A preliminary phone or Zoom interview
• A whole-day visit to LCCS to teach a demo lesson, observe lessons, meet colleagues, analyze student work, and participate in a formal group interview. We want you to know if we are the right fit for you just as much as we need to know that about you.

Salary Range: $62, based on teaching experience and education level
