Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher (Intensive Autistic Support)

The Bensalem Township School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher (Intensive Autistic Support) for the 2026–2027 school year at Valley Elementary School.

The Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for students identified with disabilities, enabling them to achieve their maximum academic, social, and behavioral potential in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Applicants must possess:

• A valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate (SpEd K-12 or SpEd K-8).
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience developing and implementing standards-based instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Effective instructional planning and assessment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, colleagues, and outside agencies.
• The ability to work cooperatively, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain accurate educational records.

This position is available for the 2026–2027 school year and may be filled or removed at any time based on the needs of the District.
