Continuing Non-Tenure Faculty, Accounting and Information Systems
The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the Villanova School of Business is seeking applications for a Continuing Non-Tenure Track position beginning Fall 2027. This person will report to the Chair of the Accounting and Information Systems Department. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. This person will primarily teach courses at the undergraduate level, and is expected to incorporate AI and other discipline-related emerging technologies into related coursework. Service expectations are commensurate with hiring level and candidate's prior experience, and will include participating in curriculum development activities and engagement with students, alumni and the broader accounting community. In addition, the person will play a central role in advising students and helping with other service at the request of the chair.
Graduate degree with a CPA and 8+ years of experience. Demonstrated capability of high-quality teaching in accounting. Willingness to work in a collegial environment.
Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting. Relevant professional experience. Demonstrated track record of high-quality teaching across courses in the financial accounting series, as well as evidence of excellence in working with students and collaborating with faculty and staff. Ability to innovate within the curriculum, including adopting emerging accounting-related technologies where appropriate. Ability to maintain scholarly academic status under AACSB accreditation standards.
