Overview
The Assistant Teacher participates in a cohesive teaching team, assists with curriculum coordination, and helps manage the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Responsibilities include structuring and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, planning developmentally appropriate transitional activities, and maintaining the appropriate child/staff ratio. The role requires understanding children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom where children are actively engaged.
