THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL AND BRAIN SCIENCES at VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY invites applications for TWO TENURE TRACK POSITIONS (ASSISTANT PROFESSOR) in NEUROSCIENCE to begin in August 2027. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a closely related discipline and should have the ability to generate a high-quality research program using non-human model systems and a commitment to teaching in our undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) programs, including mentorship of Master's theses in our rigorous, research-oriented program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Establish and maintain a high-quality research program leading to publication in respected outlets.

* Contribute to the department's teaching efforts, establishing skillful classroom teaching and student mentoring. Teaching responsibilities likely will include Introductory Psychology, Biopsychology, and other assignments determined by faculty member interests and department/program needs.

* Provide formal and informal academic advisement to students in accordance with department standards.

* Be an active member of our department, college and university.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have earned, or be near completion of, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a closely related discipline, with proven achievement or clear aptitude for excellence in research and teaching.
